Lahore, Pakistan, April 17, 2023: The Pakistan Olympic Association has announced that the 34th National Games has been pushed back by one week in May.

The POA has rescheduled the multi-sport event in Quetta to May 22-30. It was originally due to be held from May 15-23.

POA Secretary General Muhammad Khalid Mahmood revealed that the request to reschedule the dates of the National Games had been made by the Government of Balochistan.

“The matter was taken up in the Executive Committee meeting of POA held on April 11 in Lahore and it has been agreed and decided unanimously that the request of the Government of Balochistan be accepted,” Mahmood said.

A total of 31 medal sports and four demonstration sports will be held in Quetta, a city located in northern Balochistan near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
