Colombo, Sri Lanka, April 5, 2023: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka organised an Olympic Education course for physical education teachers in south-eastern Uva province on March 30-31.
A total of 41 PE teachers attended the two-day course on Olympism and Managing and Administering Sport and Physical Education at the Uva National College of Education in the hill town of Bandarawella.
This first batch of PE teachers from schools in the area learned about the core values of Olympism – excellence, respect and friendship.
The course was conducted by the National Course Director of the Sri Lanka NOC, Professor B.L.H. Perera, who is also a Co-Chair of the NOC’s Education Committee.
At the end of the two-day course, all participants received a certificate from the Sri Lanka NOC.
