Cambodia 2023 announces free entry for SEA Games, no broadcasting fees

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, April 1, 2023: The organising committee of the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia in May has announced a “free entry” policy for all spectators for all events.

This includes the opening ceremony on May 5 and closing ceremony on May 17 at the 60,000-capacity Morodok Techo National Stadium.

Furthermore, organising committee CAMSOC has stated there will be no fees charged for exclusive broadcasting rights to cover the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3-9.

CAMSOC/CAMAPGOC made an official announcement on Saturday morning, April 1, which read: 

“The Secretariat of the Cambodia Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Organising Committee of the 32nd SEA Games and the Cambodia ASEAN Para Games Organising Committee of the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 kindly informs the wider public, national and international stakeholders that the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the conclusion of the Plenary cabinet meeting of the Council of Ministers on 31 March, 2023, has decided the following:

1.      The tickets to the Opening-Closing Ceremonies and every sport competition/event at the 32nd SEA Games-12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 are free of charge for both national and international audiences.

2.      There are no fees to exclusive broadcasting rights to cover the 32nd SEA Games-12th ASEAN Para Games, neither domestically nor internationally.”

The communique was dated March 31, 2023 with the seal of Cambodia SEA Games 2023.

This will be the first time for the Kingdom of Cambodia to host the 11-nation SEA Games since it was first held in 1959.
