Hanoi, Vietnam, March 31, 2023: The Vietnam Olympic Committee and Vietnam Paralympic Association have teamed up with Herbalife Nutrition in a three-way partnership at the start of a busy sports year.
At a signing ceremony in Hanoi on March 28, Herbalife Nutrition announced it would sponsor nutritional products for 165 outstanding athletes in 2023.
Tran Van Mạnh, Secretary General of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, stated that the athletes who would receive the Herbalife products had achieved good results in recent tournaments and were expected to be among the Vietnamese golden hopes at the upcoming 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia.
These athletes are also expected to compete for medals at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China this September and October and to earn places at the Paris Olympics, he added.
The products will help athletes rebuild their strength and endurance and provide special diets during intensive training.
"Nutrition products play a key role in supporting Vietnamese athletes to improve their physical strength and endurance. This is important for them to earn high results in international competitions, especially the 32nd SEA Games," Tran Van Manh told the national English language daily Viet Nam News.
In addition to nutrition supplements, Herbalife also organises training courses about nutrition for coaches and athletes. The company will have special bonuses and financial support for the national athletes.
