Doha, Qatar, March 29, 2023: The Athletes' Commission of the Qatar Olympic Committee held its first General Assembly for the sport term 2020-2024 at the QOC Headquarters in Doha last Sunday, March 26.
The meeting was chaired by Athletes' Commission Secretary General Mrs. Nada Mohamed Wafa with participants ratifying the agenda and approving its members’ list. A strategic plan to achieve the Commission’s objectives and fulfil its needs for the future was also studied.
The official budget for 2023 was presented and programmes and activities of the QOC Athletes' Commission were also reviewed.
The General Assembly also unanimously approved the membership of the Qatar Winter Sports Committee on a request made by Mrs. Mubaraka Al Abdallah.
To shed light on the upcoming activities of the QOC Athletes' Commission, the Chair revealed that the Commission would organise a series of workshops in cooperation with the Olympic Council of Asia and the IOC Athletes' Commission.
