IOC to discuss status of athletes from Russia, Belarus on first day of EB meeting

Lausanne, Switzerland, March 26, 2023: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) will hold a three-day meeting from Tuesday, March 28 to Thursday, March 30 at Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland.

On the first day, the IOC EB will discuss the conclusions and review the feedback from a series of consultation calls held with IOC Members, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs) and athletes’ representatives on the topic of solidarity with Ukraine, the sanctions against Russia and Belarus and the status of athletes from these countries.

The agenda for day two includes reports from the Coordination Commissions and Organising Committees of Olympic Games, the International Olympic Summer Sports Federations, the International Olympic Winter Sports Federations, reports on the NOCs, reports from the athletes, Ethics, Finance, Future Host for the Olympic Winter Games and activities of the IOC administration.

The agenda for day three includes reports on the activities of the IOC administration (continued) and Olympic Agenda 2020+5.
