Manila, Philippines, March 13, 2023: The Philippine Olympic Committee’s Athletes Commission held the 2023 National Athletes Forum at the Philippine Sports Commission Conference Room inside the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex on Saturday, March 4.
The forum brought together members of the POC Athletes Commission and sports leaders for a discussion of key issues involving the country’s elite athletes and the protection of their present and future careers.
POC President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino and his team presented an in-depth report on the many programmes designed for their upliftment together with the stakeholders of Philippines sports.
The agenda included the competition schedule for national athletes in a busy year, including the SEA Games in Cambodia in May, the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China in September and the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand in November, as well as the upcoming OCA Athletes’ Forum in Bangkok on March 18-19 and plans for Olympic Day 2023.
The POC Athletes Commission declared “Onward to a better direction and future for our athletes inside and outside their respective sports disciplines!”
