Tashkent, Uzbekistan, February 1, 2023: The Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Oybek Kasimov, visited the regional Training Centre for Olympics and Paralympics in Fergana city last Saturday, January 28.
During the visit to Fergana - 420 kilometres east of the capital Tashkent and one of the most densely populated cities in the country - Secretary General Kasimov met with officials of the regional sports department and discussed existing issues facing the city in sports development.
The needs of specialised sports schools in Fergana were studied and ways to create more favourable conditions for youth to participate in sporting activities was also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Kasimov gave his recommendations to officials of the Fergana sports department and requested a blueprint for development be created based on the in-depth analysis of this visit.
