Bangladesh holds 2nd Sheikh Kamal Youth Games

Dhaka, Bangladesh: The second phase of the Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games 2023 got underway in mid-January with around 700 athletes from 11 districts in the Chattogram Division competing in 10 sports. The first phase of the Games ended on January 10.

Boys and girls aged under-17 years will compete in the inter-district competitions.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the final round of the Games which will start on February 26 at the Army Stadium in Banani, Dhaka, The final stage will continue until March 4.

More than 50,000 athletes are competing in 24 sports this year, with the inclusion of new sports cycling, gymnastics and rugby.

The first Sheikh Kamal Bangladesh Youth Games in 2018 featured around 50,000 in 21 sports.
