Kathmandu, Nepal, January 23, 2023: The Secretary General of Nepal Olympic Committee, Nilendra Raj Shrestha, participated in a farewell ceremony for the Nepal baseball team which left on Sunday for the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup in Islamabad, Pakistan from January 26 to February 2.
The national baseball teams of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal and Pakistan will take part in the tournament to be held at the Islamabad Sports Complex.
Sri Lanka is the defending champion.
Secretary General Shrestha offered his best wishes to the 22-man squad and encouraged them to do their best.
Also present at the farewell ceremony were NOC Deputy Secretary General Pitamber Timsina, National Sports Council member Ekendra Kunwar and the Secretary General of Nepal Baseball and Softball Association, Dipak Neupane.
