Ramallah, Palestine, January 16, 2023: The President of the Palestine Olympic Committee, General Jibril Rajoub, met with the President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, Mustapha Berraf, in the Algerian capital Algiers on Sunday, January 15.
General Rajoub, who is also President of the Palestine Football Association, was accompanied by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Algeria, Dr. Faiz Abu Aita, and the Secretary General of the Palestine Football Association, Faras Abu Hilal.
In the discussions which ensued, General Rajoub laid out the picture of the sports situation in Palestine and the manifold challenges the country and its athletes face.
Berraf, who was re-elected President of ANOCA in 2021, is also a member of the International Olympic Committee.
