Amman, Jordan, January 12, 2023: Nasser Majali, Secretary General of the Jordan Olympic Committee, has been appointed Secretary General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF).
The ISSF announced the new appointment at a meeting chaired by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud on Wednesday, January 11.
Prince Abdulaziz, ISSF President, extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to Professor Muhammad Al-Qarnas, who has held the position of ISSF Secretary General.
The ISSF comprises 57 countries and was established in 1981 to coordinate the organisation of sports activities among the member states of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference.
The showpiece event hosted by the ISSF is the Islamic Solidarity Games held every four years. Konya, Turkey was the host last year.
