Jerusalem, Palestine, January 12, 2023: The Palestine Anti-Doping Committee conducted a seminar and workshop with a group of athletes at the Joseph Blatter Academy, the Palestine Olympic Committee reports.

Anti-doping committee members and doping control officers briefed the athletes on their rights and responsibilities as well as their duties during a doping test.

The seminar focused on education and awareness, stressing the need for athletes to be familiar with the prohibited substances listed by WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Educational flyers were distributed to athletes containing specific guidelines and information about anti-doping and the dangers to health of taking performance-enhancing drugs.

This activity comes within the Palestine Anti-Doping Committee’s plan to raise awareness among athletes of various team and individual sports on the importance of staying away from this plague on sport.
