Manila, Philippines, January 11, 2023: The President of the Philippine Olympic Committee, Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, was the guest speaker at the first Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum of the new year on January 10.
The POC President provided updates on what's in store for Philippine sports in 2023 to the Philippine Sportswriters Association headed by Rey Lachica, PSA officers and members from media and broadcasting including PTV Sports, TV5 and CNN Philippines.
The POC faces a busy year with the South East Asian (SEA) Games in Cambodia in May, the ANOC World Beach Games in Bali in August, the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8 and the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand in November.
Athletes from the Philippines will also compete in the World Combat Games in Saudi Arabia in October along with other major championships.
