Baghdad, Iraq, January 4, 2023: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Raad Hammoudi, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Iraqi Wrestling Federation.
Hammoudi and his accompanying delegation toured the refurbished facilities, especially the conference hall which will be used for lectures, workshops, training and arbitration courses and other activities.
During his visit, Hammoudi received a detailed update from the President of the Iraqi Wrestling Federation, Shaalan Abdulkhadim Al Tameemi, who outlined the efforts of the federation to promote wrestling throughout the country.
Abdulkhadim said the federation would work on expanding the training hall in order to host top-level tournaments and to increase spectator capacity.
The NOC President was accompanied on his visit by the Olympic Committee's Financial Secretary, Ahmed Sabry, and a member of the General Assembly of the Olympic Committee, Major General Mahdi Shawai.
