Male, Maldives, January 1, 2023: The Maldives Olympic Committee has announced its schedule for the new year which includes no fewer than five muti-sport games.
As well as the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China from September 23-October 8 and the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Bangkok and Chonburi province, Thailand from November 17-26, the Maldives will enter three more games in a packed programme.
First up will be the Commonwealth Youth Games (14-18 years) in Trinidad and Tobago from August 4-11; next comes the ANOC World Beach Games in Bali, Indonesia from August 5-12; and later that month the Indian Ocean Island Games at Madagascar from August 25-September 3.
These three events will pave the way for the Maldives’ participation in the two big OCA games in the last four months of the year.
