Bangkok, Thailand, December 25, 2022: The Asian Kickboxing Confederation held its General Assembly in Bangkok, where an official of the newly established Saudi Kickboxing Federation participated.
The Saudi Kickboxing Federation membership was discussed during the General Assembly and ratified by a unanimous vote of the members.
A joint statement was issued by the President of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation and the Saudi Kickboxing Federation stating the active collaboration of the two parties.
The President of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, Mr. Nasser Nassiri, welcomed the Kingdom's membership and looked forward to working together with the Saudi Kickboxing Federation to enhance the spread of kickboxing.
The addition of the Saudi Federation will also raise the level of competition in Asia while expanding the sporting footprint of the Kingdom, he added, notably in the World Combat Games next October in Riyadh and the OCA’s Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand next November.
The Saudi Kickboxing Federation expressed its thanks to the member states and the Asian Confederation for its support in the development of the sport in the Kingdom.
The head of the Saudi delegation, Mr. Nasser Al-Jared, delivered a speech on behalf of the President of the Saudi kickboxing Federation in which he thanked the member federations and the Asian Confederation and expressed the federation's aspiration to work together.
