Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, December 22, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan has handed out 4 million Kyrgyzstani Soms (46,000 USD) to leading sports federations.
The NOC, under the President Sadyr Mamytov, held a press conference to promote the awards and the end-of-year results.
The leadership of the NOC answered journalists' questions, talked about the work of the Olympic Committee during 2022 and shared plans for 2023.
President Mamytov said that, in 2022, 20 projects in 14 sports were implemented, and that the IOC recognized Kyrgyzstan as one of the most active NOCs in this field.
The NOC, together with partners Alliance Altyn and Bakay Bank, presented cash certificates worth 4 million Soms (46,000 USD) to leading sports federations:
Sports Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan: 2 million Soms (23,000 USD)
Boxing Federation of Kyrgyzstan - 1 million Soms (11,600 USD)
Rowing Federation of Kyrgyzstan – 500,000 Soms (5,700 USD)
Weightlifting Federation of Kyrgyzstan – 500,000 Soms.(5,700 USD)
Also, during the press conference, journalists were presented with letters of thanks and commemorative gifts for their contribution to the development of Kyrgyz sports and support of the Olympic movement in Kyrgyzstan.
