Top two officials of UAE NOC’s Sports Medicine Committee appointed to global roles

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 21, 2022: Dr. Abdullah Al Rahoomi, Vice President of the Sports Medicine Committee of the United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee has become a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Abdullah was enrolled as an executive committee member of the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine on the side-lines of a meeting of the body held in Hong Kong last Saturday, December 17.

This achievement follows on the heels of the President of the Sports Medicine Committee of the UAE NOC, Dr. Hashel Al Tunaiji being selected as a member of the Development Committee of the International Federation of Sports Medicine at the 37th World Congress of Sports Medicine in Mexico recently.

The prominence given to the two leading officials of the UAE NOC’s Sports Medicine Committee is another feather in the cap for the Emirates with Dubai being awarded the right to host the 38th World Congress of Sports Medicine in 2024.
