Kathmandu, Nepal, January 15, 2020: The Ex-Boxers Group of Macau and the Nepal Boxing Association felicitated the medal-winning boxers at the 13th South Asian Games held last month in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Former Nepali boxers now residing in Macau feted the Nepal boxing team which won three gold medals, six silver and six bronze medals by giving them cash donations on Monday, January 13.
The Vice President of the National Sports Council and Nepal’s Chef de Mission at the South Asian Games, Pitamber Timsina, and Nepal Boxing Association President Ram Awale handed Rs. 20,000 (US$176) each to gold medallists Minu Gurung, Bhupendra Thapa and Sanil Shahi.
Nepal finished second to India in the overall medal standings.
