New COC President Gao Zhidan visits ANOC HQ

Lausanne, Switzerland, December 12, 2022: Gao Zhidan, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee and Minister of the General Administration of Sport of China, paid a visit to the ANOC Office in Lausanne on December 7.

Mr Gao was joined by Mr. Wu Jian (Deputy Secretary General), Mr. Li Hui (Deputy Secretary General), Mr. Zhang Xin (Director General of Training and Competition Department), Mr. Wang Kan (Director of Secretariat) and Mr. Su Donghao (Personal Assistant to the President).

The delegation was welcomed by ANOC Secretary General Mrs Gunilla Lindberg. During the meeting, Mrs Lindberg expressed congratulations on behalf of the NOCs to the great organisation of the Olympic Winter Games 2022 in Beijing. 

Matters of common interest regarding the cooperation between ANOC and the Chinese Olympic Committee were also discussed as well as information about the different upcoming activities.

Gao, 59, was elected President of the COC at an Extraordinary Session on September 7.
