Dushanbe, Tajikistan, November 8, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan reports that judo players Temur Rakhimov and Mulorajab Khalifaev have been honored with gifts from the Mayor of Dushanbe for their performances at the Baku Grand Slam 2022.
Rakhimov won gold in the men’s +100kg category, while Khalifaev took home silver in the men’s -66kg division.
Rakhimov was given an apartment for his victory and Khalifaev received a cash prize of 100,000 Tajikistani Somoni (USD 9,900) from the Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali.
The IJF Baku Grand Slam was held from November 4-6 in Azerbaijan with the participation of 366 athletes from 61 countries.
