Dushanbe, Tajikistan, November 2, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan will implement the Olympic Culture and Heritage education programme of Olympic Solidarity in 10 public educational institutions of Dushanbe during November.
Within the framework of the programme, the NOC, in cooperation with the Head of Education of Dushanbe city, started a five-day seminar for 10 physical education teachers of 10 general secondary education institutions on November 1.
The Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and NOC Vice President, Rahmonzoda Abdullo, stressed the importance of sport within society and said that promoting the Olympic movement and the achievements of athletes among schoolchildren would attract young people to sport. He added that, among them, future world and Olympic champions would grow.
The teachers received a certificate from the IOC and, during November, they will teach the students through theoretical exercises and organising sports competitions.
