Jordan NOC nurtures young sports journalists with three-day course

Amman, Jordan, October 25, 2022: The Jordan Olympic Committee is organising a course for young sports journalists to integrate the local media into the Olympic movement.

The three-day course began on Monday, October 24 and is being held at the headquarters of the Generations for Peace organisation in Hussein City for Youth. 

In this course there are 12 students from media faculties in Jordanian universities.

The Secretary General of Jordan Olympic Committee, Nasser Al-Majali, introduced the course and also spoke about the National Olympic Committee and its national strategy in the service of Jordanian sports.

Al-Majali pointed out the crucial role of the media in highlighting Jordanian sports and the importance of expanding the base of sports journalists which serves Jordanian sport in all its aspects.

The "Young Sports Journalist" course comes within the framework of the Jordanian National Sports Strategy, which aims to strengthen the role of the media in sports and focus on different sporting achievements and what serves Jordanian sport.

This course features a number of lecturers specialized in sports journalism and the course covers several student topics and activities.
