Seoul, Korea, October 21, 2022: The 26th ANOC General Assembly Seoul 2022 wrapped up at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday.
Following two full days of reports and presentations in the main assembly hall, the third morning was more informal with two ANOC Special Themed Sessions on “sustainability in sport” and “how to protect integrity in sport” staged in the COEX Auditorium.
The two topics each involved one moderator and three panellists providing examples from their respective National Olympic Committee, after which the NOC delegates from around the world could raise their own points.
The ANOC Secretary General, Gunilla Lindberg, wrapped up the sessions and was already looking ahead to the next ANOC General Assembly in Bali, Indonesia in August 2023.
“We have a few ideas now on the topics for the next session and maybe we can have a full day in Bali,” she said.
“I would like to thank the moderators and panellists and everyone from the NOCs who took part. This was the first real try with this special session and discussions and we will continue at the next General Assembly.
“We will see what we can do better and also take your proposals with us.”
Following the closing remarks, all the NOC delegates gathered with new ANOC President Dr Robin Mitchell and Secretary General Lindberg outside the Auditorium for a photo shoot.
