Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, October 19, 2022: The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence has signed three Memorandums of Understanding with the UAE National Olympic Committee, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Sharjah Sports Council which will all enhance cooperation in the sports field.
The three MoUs were signed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence on Monday, October 17 by Major General Salem Saeed Ghavan Al-Jabri, representative of the Ministry, UAE NOC Assistant General Secretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Engineer Azza Bint Suleiman, and representatives from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Sharjah Sports Council.
Major General Salem Saeed said: “The Ministry of Defence is keen to strengthen partnerships with the NOC and various sporting associations and support development plans and create a positive climate for community sporting interaction.”
On her part, Eng. Azza Bint Suleiman said: “We are pleased with this MoU as it opens the field for more coordination and cooperation with a national entity the size of the Ministry of Defence that will contribute to the support and training of national athletes and sports programmes.”
