Macau, China, January 10, 2020: The sports community in Macau, China gathered at Macau Tower on Friday evening for the awards presentation to top performers in 2019.
Over 10 million Macau Patacas (1.2 million USD) was distributed to 60 athletes and 29 trainers from 23 sports.
The President of the Macau SAR government’s Sports Bureau, Mr Pun Weng Kun, gave the introductory speech and congratulated the athletes and their coaches on their achievements in 2019.
The President of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China, Mr Charles Lo, who is Chairman of the OCA Media Committee and a member of the OCA Executive Board, presented some of the cheques to the athletes and coaches.
The banquet also included a video of the new national training centre that opened last year next to the East Asian Games Dome and the Macau NOC HQ.
