Vientiane, Laos, September 29, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Laos has decided the size of its teams for three major multi-sports games next year.
The details were announced following a meeting between NOC Laos and the High-Level Sports Department concerning the funding available through the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity support system.
NOC Laos will send 21 athletes in nine sports to the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia next May 5-17; 22 athletes in eight sports to the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8; and 24 athletes in five sports to the OCA’s 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand next November 17-26, including 12 in boat racing.
The plans are part of a regional sports support programme from 2021-2024 which has been delayed due to Covid-19, as the Asian Games was put back one year to 2023 and the AIMAG from March 2022 to November 2023.
