Busan, Korea, September 29, 2022: WADA President Witold Banka delivered the keynote speech at the 2022 Korea Anti-Doping Agency (KADA) Seminar in Asia and Oceania at Busan.
The theme of his speech was the importance of cooperation between anti-doping organisations. He also took part in a panel discussion alongside WADA Vice President Yang Yang (China) and Kim Kum-pyoung, Secretary General of KADA, and visited a KADA mobile doping control station.
“It was a great pleasure to attend and deliver the keynote speech during the 2022 Korea Anti-Doping Agency Seminar for Asia and Oceania. This event, which attracted participants from 21 nations across the region, is extremely important in building global anti-doping capacity,” said Banka, who was Poland’s Minister of Sport and Tourism from 2015-2019.
“We kicked off our visit to South Korea by meeting with the Korean Anti-Doping Agency. We had a good exchange about ongoing anti-doping activities and some future events, not least the 2025 World Conference on Doping in Sport to take place in Busan.”
The KADA Seminar in Asia and Oceania was held at the Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre over two days from September 28-29.
