Thimphu, Bhutan, September 10, 2022: His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, His Majesty’s Representative, International Olympic Committee Member and President of the Bhutan Olympic Committee, met with Mr. Morinari Watanabe, International Olympic Committee Member and President of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), in Thimphu on September 5.
The FIG President was accompanied by the President of the Asian Gymnastics Union, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Shathri, and officials from the Asian Gymnastics Union.
While in Bhutan, the delegation discussed the possible introduction of the sport of gymnastics and also establishing a national gymnastics federation in the near future.
