OCA invites NOCs in Central and South Asia for Development Programme in Tashkent in November

Kuwait City, Kuwait, September 6, 2022: The Olympic Council of Asia has invited National Olympic Committees in Central and South Asia to send coaches and referees in five sports for Stage 2 of its Development Programme in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from November 3-7.

The OCA announced on Sunday, September 4, details of the OCA Development Programme for Coaches and Referees Stage 2 for Central and South Asian NOCs in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

This programme will include five sports: boxing, judo, swimming, weightlifting and wrestling with the focus on developing coaches and referees in each sport. International instructors will be in charge in each sport.

“One of the OCA’s objectives is to promote the practice of sport, encourage and improve the standard of performance in the spirit of fair play, where coaches and referees are key factors in developing sports in NOCs and play an important role and help in building generations for better societies,” wrote OCA Director General Husain Al-Musallam in the invitation letter.

Each NOC is entitled to register only two coaches and two referees for each sport, leading to a maximum of 10 coaches and 10 referees for each sport.

The OCA will bear all the expenses for air tickets, full board accommodation and visas from the time of arrival in Tashkent on November 2, to departure on November 8.

All NOCs have been asked to register their participants by October 1. They can register on https://app.ocadsp.prod.bornan.net/#/login.
