Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 18, 2022: The athletes and coaches at the OCA diving youth camp received an unexpected good luck message on Thursday morning – from British diving star Jack Laugher.

Jack, 27, appeared on the big screen in a video message from Rome to wish the OCA and all participants a successful training camp from August 14-21.

“Have a great time. Enjoy yourselves,” he said.

The participants in the lecture theatre at the Pearl Hotel responded with a video message of their own saying “Thank you, Jack” which will be forwarded to the diving ace.

Jack hails from Harrogate in North Yorkshire and trains at the City of Leeds Diving Club. He won Olympic gold in the 3m synchro with Chris Mears and silver in the individual 3m springboard at Rio 2016 as well as a bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 in 3m springboard last summer.
