India finishes fourth at Birmingham CWG with 22 gold medals

Birmingham, England, August 9, 2022: Asia placed two teams in the top 10 of the final medal rankings of the 2022 Commonwealth Games which closed on Monday, August 8.

India finished fourth with 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze for a total of 61, while Malaysia came in 10th with 7-8-8 for 23 total medals.

Australia led the rankings with 67 gold medals, 57 silver and 54 bronze for a total of 178, followed by England (57-66-53-176) and Canada (26-32-34-92).

Of the other Asian NOCs to win medals in Birmingham, Singapore was 14th with 4-4-4 (12), Pakistan 18th on 2-3-3 (8) and Sri Lanka 31st with 0-1-3 (4).
