Tajikistan NOC runs Olympic Solidarity seminar for judo coaches and judges

Dushanbe, Tajikistan, July 20, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan, in cooperation with the Tajikistan Judo Federation and with the support of the International Judo Federation, held a development seminar for judo in the Muminabad District in south Tajikistan.

The training session and seminar, which was funded by the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity programme, was mainly attended by coaches and judges from the Childukhtaron area of Muminabad District. Officials and coaches from the capital Dushanbe, Sughd and Khatlon regions also attended.

Chief Guest at the seminar, Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Sports Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Vice President of Tajikistan NOC, Abdullo Rahmonzoda, wished all the participants a successful future.

The training session was conducted by an international expert from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Atoullo Abbasnajad, and by an international judge, Ramzi Shamirov of Tajikistan.

The purpose of the seminar was to increase the knowledge and improve the skills of coaches and judges, and also to spread the sport in the region.

Similar programmes have been held before in Dushanbe and Khujand.
