Colombo, Sri Lanka, July 6, 2022: A five-day National Course Directors’ training programme run by the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity is underway at the Mandarina Hotel in the capital Colombo.

The Olympic Solidarity sports administration programme is being conducted by Mr. B.L.H. Perera, National Course Director of the Sri Lanka NOC, with 14 participants attending.

Four of the participants are from Bhutan and Mongolia with the rest from Sri Lanka. The course is designed on a manual delivered by the International Olympic Committee's Olympic Solidarity programme. At the end of the course on Friday, July 8, all participants will receive an IOC certificate.

Sports administrators from national sports federations and associations are among the main participants at this course. The Sri Lanka NOC considers the completion of this course as a mandatory requirement for team officials - managers and coaches – at international events like the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
