Chinese Taipei delegation receives flag for World Games

Taipei City, June 28, 2022: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (CTOC) staged a flag presentation ceremony for the Chinese Taipei delegation to The World Games Birmingham 2022 on June 27. 

President Tsai Ing-Wen presented the Chinese Taipei NOC flag to Mr. Lin Hong-Dow, CTOC President and head of the delegation, and urged the athletes to continue striving for excellence with determination and resolve. 

In addition, a 90-minute orientation session, including detailed Games information, COVID-19 prevention guidelines, doping control guidelines and many other topics, was given to attendees after the ceremony. 

The 11th edition of The World Games will take place in Birmingham, Alabama, USA from July 7-17, 2022. 

Chinese Taipei NOC is sending a total of 69 athletes to participate in 14 sports: Air Sports, Softball, Billiards Sports, Bowling, Canoe Polo, Ju-jitsu, Korfball, Powerlifting, Roller Sports, Sumo, Tug of War, Finswimming, Wakeboard and Wushu.  

The Games will serve as the best opportunity for Chinese Taipei athletes to gain international experience and to inspire more people to take part in non-Olympic sports in the future.
