Kathmandu, Nepal, June 24, 2022: Over two weeks of Olympic Day activities in Nepal came to a fitting finale on the evening of Olympic Day itself – Thursday, June 23.
Nepal NOC held a gala awards night at the Everest Hotel in Kathmandu to round off the celebrations that began with a cycle rally on June 5.
A wide range of events in different locations and for different ages were held in between, including a sports day at Nepal Army Sports and Physical Training Centre at Rajdal Lagankhel. The sports featured were chess, table tennis and boxing.
Elsewhere there was a school athletics competition, a tennis camp for kids, a short story competition and colouring exercise as well as a Sports Wellness Week for psychological wellbeing from June 18-23 by the Sports Psychology Commission.
Olympic Day was organised by the Sport for All Commission under Nepal NOC.

NOC Best Athlete, Male, Prince Dahal;
NOC Best Athlete, Female, Gaurika Singh;
NOC Best Coach, Male, Deepak Magar;
NOC Best Coach, Female, Sangina Baidhya;
NOC Best Association, Nepal Taekwondo Association.
