Colombo, Sri Lanka, June 12, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka held the awards ceremony for the winners of the Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run Art Contest 2022 on Friday, June 10.
A total of 10 paintings/drawings – five boys and five girls – were selected from 837 students all under the competition age of 13 years to mark the celebration of ‘Asian Games for All’.
The best 50 were selected from the initial entry before being whittled down to the 10 winners in a final contest at Sri Lanka Foundation venue in Colombo from June 7-10.
The awards ceremony was held at the auditorium of the Sri Lanka NOC with Secretary General Maxwell de Silva and other senior NOC officials present.
The work of the 10 winners will be sent to China for the next stage of the competition – at the Asian level – with the four winners (two boys and two girls) from each NOC having their art displayed during the Asian Games at various venues including the Main Press Centre.
