Sanya, China, January 2, 2020: The countdown is on to the Olympic Council of Asia’s sixth Asian Beach Games in Sanya, Hainan Island, at the end of this year.
The organising committee of the 6th ABG Sanya 2020 has announced the all-important deadlines for the three-stage process of sports entries by the National Olympic Committees.
First round – Entry by Sport: December 18, 2019 to January 12, 2020.
Second round – Entry by Number: March 1-28.
Third round – Entry by Name: September 1-28.
The sixth Asian Beach Games will take place from November 28 to December 6.
The 17 sports listed by the organising committee are:

2 - Aquatics (open water swimming, water polo)
3 - Beach athletics
4 - Motor Sport
5 - Dragon Boat
6 - 3x3 Basketball (under 23 years)
7 - Sport Climbing
8 - Beach Handball
9 - Beach Soccer
10 - Beach Volleyball
11 - Woodball
12 - Martial Arts (Beach wrestling, jujitsu)
13 - Beach Kabaddi
14 - Surfing
15 - Sailing
16 - Teqball
17 - Powered Paragliding
NOTE: There are 17 sports and 93 events in total.
