Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 31, 2022: The Mongolian National Olympic Committee organised its annual General Assembly and made a few amendments to the NOC statutes.
One of the amendments was that the Executive Board must include at least two female members. The NOC is fully supporting the IOC strategy to improve the participation of women in sport at all levels, and to improve transparency.
A working group, headed by IOC Member and NOC President Batbold Battushig, studied the NOC statutes adopted in 2016, the Olympic Charter and the Basic Principles of Good Governance and submitted the proposals to the General Assembly for approval, with the support of the Executive Board.
During the General Assembly, Chuluunbat Jargalsaikhan received the fifth-place diploma in wrestling - men's freestyle 120kg from the London 2012 Olympic Games. The personal congratulations of the IOC President Thomas Bach were conveyed to Chuluunbat by NOC President Battushig, who handed him the certificate.
The General Assembly warmly welcomed the green development commission's call to activate the sustainable development goals and to create a clean and green environment.
