Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, May 9, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan has held an anti-doping seminar under the umbrella of the IOC Olympic Solidarity programme for triathletes and young athletes.

Addressing participants at the opening ceremony, the President of Kyrgyzstan NOC, Sadyr Mamytov, noted that triathlon was one of the fastest-growing sports in Kyrgyzstan.

“In order to ensure we achieve success, it is necessary to step up efforts to help young children and athletes realise their full potential. Anti-doping measures are an important part of these measures and should be carried out systematically,” Mamytov said.

“I am sure participants at this seminar will receive all the necessary information and will be able to use it effectively,” the NOC President added.

Kyrgyzstan hosted a leg of the Asian Cup for the first time in 2018. In 2021, the Asian Championships were also held in the country.
