Tashkent, Uzbekistan, May 5, 2022: The Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Husain Al Musallam, has arrived in Tashkent ahead of the OCA Executive Board meeting on Friday, May 6.
Mr Al Musallam and the OCA’s Acting President, Raja Randhir Singh, attended a meeting with the Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adkham Ikramov, on Thursday.
The Minister was accompanied by senior Uzbekistan NOC officials – Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and Vice President Azizjon Kamilov.
The OCA will hold the 77th Executive Board meeting in Tashkent on Friday morning. It will be the first time for the Uzbek capital to host the OCA Executive Board and the visiting delegates will also join the 30th anniversary celebrations of the National Olympic Committee.
One of the items on the meeting agenda is Tashkent’s hosting of the 4th Asian Youth Games in 2025.
