Colombo, Sri Lanka, May 1, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka held its first Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators Course from April 21-24.
A total of 22 candidates representing National Sports Federations, Universities and the tri-forces – Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Air Force – participated in the course which was held online.
There was extra emphasis for officials who represented the National Sports Federations as the Sri Lanka NOC considers the completion of this course as a mandatory requirement when selecting team officials, managers and coaches for international games.
The course was based on an IOC Olympic Solidarity manual and guidelines. All participants received an IOC certificate on completion of the four-day course.
The Sri Lanka NOC has scheduled a second course in June 2022.
