UAE to send 285 athletes to 3rd GCC Games Kuwait 2022

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 1, 2022: The United Arab Emirates NOC has announced that it will be sending 285 athletes to the third GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Games in Kuwait from May 13-31 to compete in all 16 sports on the programme.

This will mark the third consecutive participation of the UAE in the GCC Games following the inaugural event in Manama, Bahrain in 2011 and the second GCC Games in Dammam, Saudi Arabia in 2015.

The National Olympic Committee held joint coordination meetings on April 22 with all sports associations participating in the 3rd GCC Games Kuwait 2022.

The committee reviewed the preparations of all unions after checking on travel, training venues and the competition programme, as well as following the health measures in the host state and the competition timetable.
