Olympic diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri to carry Malaysia’s flag at SEA Games

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 24, 2022: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has selected Olympian Nur Dhabitah Sabri to carry the national flag in the opening ceremony of the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam next month.

The 22-year-old diver was named as Malaysia’s flagbearer by the OCM on Saturday, April 23 and will have the honour to lead the delegation in the parade of athletes at Hanoi on May 9.

In a video message, she thanked the OCM for the honour and said her aim was to win two gold medals – in the 1-metre springboard and 10-metre platform synchronized event.

She urged the nation to cheer for the Malaysian athletes and wished her team mates all success in the SEA Games, which run from May 9-23 in Hanoi and 11 neighbouring districts.

The OCM also launched the official attire for the Malaysian contingent in a ceremony at the OCM Sports Museum & Hall of Fame.
