Tashkent, Uzbekistan, April 20, 2022: The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation has successfully completed a technical course for track and field coaches under the umbrella of the IOC Olympic Solidarity programme.
World Athletics instructor Evgeny Shumarin was in charge of the course, which was held from April 10-20 and attended by 24 coaches from different regions of the Republic.
Uzbekistan NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and Athletics Federation Secretary General Kamoliddin Ruizmuhamedov were among the chief dignitaries who presided at the closing ceremony.
Kasimov stressed the importance of the course and congratulated all participants on its successful completion. All 24 coaches received an international certificate.
In a statement, the Uzbekistan NOC said: “We are confident that these cadres, who have enriched their knowledge through modern methods of athletics, will soon train our athletes who will rise to the podium in international competitions.”
