UAE NOC highlights Sports Ethics and Olympic Values

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 14, 2022: The United Arab Emirates National Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charity held a discussion on Sports Ethics and Olympic Values on Tuesday, April 12, at the Al-Khwanij Council in Dubai.

Engineer Ezza bint Suleiman, the UAE NOC Assistant Secretary General for Administrative and Finance Affairs, inaugurated the event which was attended by Saad Qais Al-Dhalai, the President of the Asian and Arab Rugby Unions, Mohammed bin Darwish, UAE NOC executive director, and other sports and state officials.

Eng. Suleiman confirmed the importance and supreme values of the Olympic Movement, and the principles of cooperation, brotherhood and peace among all members of the community which are underlined by the beliefs of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Abdullah Musa, from the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charity, spoke about the importance of respecting the rights and humanity of others, respecting the laws of sports, a commitment to not harming competitors, and competing with sportsmanship.
