Nepal NOC President holds send-off ceremony for bodybuilders

Kathmandu, Nepal, April 14, 2022: The President of Nepal Olympic Committee, Hon. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, held a send-off ceremony for athletes and officials from the Nepalese Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness on Wednesday, April 13.

Two bodybuilders from Nepal will be competing in the IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) Mister Universe Championship and Fitness Festival India 2022 at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Pune from April 15-17.

The athletes are Deba Raj Parajuli, who is ranked 59 in the world, and Marich Man Lama.

The accompanying officials are: Mr. Shiva Lal Shrestha, President; Mr. Ajay Kumar Bajracharya, Secretary General; Rajendra Ratna Tuladhar, chief coach; and Ms. Renuka Shrestha, official.

President Shrestha gave his best wishes to the delegation and told the participants to maintain their discipline and give their best. He also praised the Nepalese Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness for inspiring youth to stay fit.

The Vice President and Executive Director of Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Chaturananda Rajvaidya, the Chairperson of the NOC Medical Commission, Dr. Saroj Krishna Shrestha, and national judge Mr. Roshan Maharjan also attended the ceremony.
