Hangzhou, China, April 5, 2022: The official posters of the Hangzhou Asian Games have been released and are on display around the city.
The themes of the posters include History and Humanities, Intelligent Technology, Sports and Competition and Happy City.
The posters are being exhibited in the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee HQ as well as landmark locations of Hangzhou and transport hubs.
On July 28, 2021, HAGOC sent a global invitation to collect the design of official posters of Hangzhou 2022 and 1,789 designs were submitted from China and all over the world. The final selection process took 94 days.
One of the designers, Ji Yu, says Hangzhou is a city with a long history and a bright young generation of creative talent.
"I am looking forward to the pageant of Hangzhou 2022. I’d like to express my wish for Hangzhou 2022 from the perspective of a young girl,” she said.
In the two posters, Ji Yu expresses her wish with cakes, goblets and champagne - the three common elements for celebrations or parties, as well as sports elements, such as an athletics track, swimming pool and ball sports.
The 19th Asian Games will run from September 10-25, 2022 in Hangzhou and five co-host cities throughout Zhejiang province in eastern China.
