Mongolia NOC’s Women in Sport Commission to adopt OCA programme

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, March 8, 2022: The Women in Sport Commission of the Mongolian Olympic Committee organised an event among female members of the NOC in connection with International Women’s Day on March 8.

The IOC Member, First Vice President Mr. B. Battushig, Acting President Mr. Ch. Naranbaatar and Secretary General and Olympic champion Mr. E. Badar-Uugan were invited to the event and the NOC leaders expressed their support to the Mongolia NOC Women in Sport Commission activities.

The Women in Sport Commission of Mongolia NOC will implement the OCA’s Social Development Through Olympism project offered under the continental programme of Olympic Solidarity and will organise a series of events with the goal of promoting Olympic sport and female athletes. These events will include empowering the female human resources of National Federations and a Sports Day with female Olympic medallists and Olympians for high school students.

The Women in Sport Commission will also use social media to highlight female sports leaders who will serve as role models and send a positive message to the public through the United Nations Sustainable Development Through Sport initiative, starting from March 7.

The female members of the NOC and famous female athletes will support the Women in Sport Commission’s seminar on empowering female sports leaders to be held on March 9-10.
